Astrology: Step onto the Roller Coaster of Time |
By Dale Osadchuk
October 2007 to January 2008
When the planet Saturn, ruler of time, moved into the sign of Virgo, ruler of mind, body and spirit on September 02, 2007 for its almost 3 year visit, something happened to people’s perception of this thing we call TIME. It has become mutable and mysteriously illusive. Even people who have no awareness of spiritual consciousness are noticing this distortion in the concept of time. It seems to move at warp speed and then come to a standstill. Will this be the theme of Saturn in Virgo? What are we to learn from this?
Virgo is the zodiac sign that asks us to “Be in The Now”. Eckhart Tolle in his book “The Power of Now” calls it The Present or The Presence. We cannot hear The Presence if we are listening to the past or if we are projecting into the future. We can only hear it when we are in the stillness of the one moment, THE NOW. It is also interesting that Virgo is the sign that is seen as The Rainbow Bridge into Spiritual Conscious. It leads us to Pisces, illusion or enlightenment. Saturn is the planet of society, its structure and foundations. This combination can lead us to a holistic perspective that can heal our world, personally and universally.
All this got activated with the Virgo New Moon Eclipse of Sept 11, 2007. The focus for the next five months, until February 06, 2008, is on the healing power of The Now. Perhaps it has already begun in the world for that Eclipse re-energized the Astrology of Sept 11, 2001 and it appears “nothing” happened. I expected “something” as did other astrologers. What did occur was an earthquake the next day in Sumatra, with tsunami warnings and tremendous after shocks. I have never experienced an earthquake but I imagine it puts you totally in The Now and The Presence. Well, be prepared for more “NOW” experiences wherever you are.
We have a cosmic phenomenon called SuperMoon. That is when Luna is at perigee, her closest approach to Earth, and appears very large and bright at Full Moon. (This also happens at some New Moon’s but since we cannot see it the affect is more subconscious.) Eclipses and Super Moons can activate energy surges on planet Earth. “It’s a strong signal of geographic disturbances ---- tidal surges in Earth’s atmosphere, oceans, and crusts that correspond to severe storms, unusually high tides, and moderate to severe seismic activity, including volcanic eruptions as well as Richter Magnitude 5+ earthquakes.” (Richard Nolle “The SuperMoon and Other Lunar Extremes” Mt. Astrologer Oct/Nov 2007 issue.)
We have three SuperMoon Full Moons coming up. By the time you read this, the Full Moon of Sept 26 will have already occurred so you know what happened if anything. This is traditionally the Harvest Moon and always appears gloriously rising in the east after sunset. I believe if these SuperMoons have an impact on Mother Earth and her stability, they have to affect us on a mental, emotional, as well as physical level. We are in the time of mind, emotional and body healing. Our connection to spirit will bring us into The Presence as we experience the energy surges.
October 2007
The planetary highlights this month are really asking you to break free of dogma and belief systems that no longer serve you. Jupiter in Sagittarius (dogma or truth) and Uranus in Pisces (illusion or enlightenment) are having an argument to mid-month. The question to ask is what is important to me now regarding my life? The Libra New Moon on Oct 11 at 1.01am is asking you to focus on that same question in connection to your intimate partnerships and business associations. What are the stumbling blocks and can they be healed? Our good friend Mercury turns retrograde on Oct 12 at 12.01am in Scorpio. (I know it seems as if was just retrograde last week but it was actually June and July. This is an example of the time distortion.) Emotional issues deeply hidden, and connected to partnership, can now be focused on and healed. I expect, for some of you, secrets surrounding joint finances will be brought to light. Remember to practice being in The Now. Also remember Scorpio is about letting go of what no longer serves you. This energy will not be completely cleared until Nov 17. Do not let revenge be the driving force.
On Oct 23 the Sun (ego or heart) enters Scorpio (hanging on-or letting-go) and Mercury (your mind) slips back into Libra (partnership). You can see the issues are just not going to go away. We have a SuperMoon Full Moon on Oct 26 at 12.51am. The Moon is in Taurus so there may be some disruptive issues connected to your personal assets and partnership resources that come up. Remember (I am using that word a lot, I know) what is really important to you and let go of what isn’t. When Neptune (illusion or awareness) starts to move forward again on Oct 31 you will see the Divine Presence that is guiding you if you are willing to be in your truth and The Now.
November 2007
The month opens with our trickster friend Mercury moving forward in direct motion at 6.00pm on Nov 01. Whatever issues he helped you identify when he was retrograde will now begin to be resolved and should be completed by Nov 17. I say should, because some of us like to hang on long after we SHOULD let go. Scorpio’s motto is “I may forgive but I will never forget.” My advice is forgive and forget. The Scorpio New Moon on Nov 09 at 6.04pm is the opportunity to let all that go and begin to experience transformation and the new.
Just before Mercury begins to clear his retrograde shadow we have another planet turning backwards. This time it is Mars, the god of war but also the planet of action and decisiveness. Whatever issues came up for you this past June and July that you were not able to resolve are back again and they may be very emotional. Mars will be retrograde from Nov 15, 2007 until Jan 30, 2008 so be prepared for a long haul. He started this activation Sept 17, 2007 and will not clear it until the end of April 2008. I am not sure what this may mean for the world but it certainly can create delays in moving forward in your personal life. Focus on what is important to you and let everything else fall into place. Be in The Now.
Our next SuperMoon is the Full Moon of Nov 24 at 9.31am. It is asking you to integrate what you believe, into your life. Just before this lunation at 5.16am the planet Uranus (breaking free) moves forward, releasing you from the issues you have been trying to break free from since June. Be prepared for unexpected events world wide. Pluto is activating the Galactic Center for the last time since Feb 2006. He may have been demoted but he is still a force to be reckoned with.
December 2007
Jupiter (expansion and growth) is at the Galactic Center until Dec 05. This is our opportunity to really connect with our Soul Essence. Some people may choose to leave the Earth plane at this time for a doorway has opened. If you have loved ones who are ready to go bless them on their way. You will met them again in a loving place. Forgive and release. This is particularly powerful from Dec 07 to 15. There also may be events happening in the world where people will be leaving. Do not see this as negative. It is all unfolding as it should.
We have a Sagittarius New Moon on Dec 09 at 12.41pm. This is an opportunity for you to affirm and embrace what you truly believe. Mars is still retrograde so do it with inner power and strength. The next few days will reward you. Remember we are coming up to holiday season and it is always difficult to stay centered at this time of year. Jupiter enters Capricorn on Dec 18 and we begin a period of new opportunities out in the world.
Winter Solstice is Dec 22 at 1.08am. It is a time of stillness and solitude. The Full Moon is on Dec 23 at 8.17pm and although it is not a SuperMoon it still has some of the qualities. Be still and centered. Be in the Now.
January 2008
The year 2008 is a Ten vibration. That is the energy of growth, expansion and manifestation. This is a powerful month and it is hard to predict how we will respond to the energies. The Capricorn New Moon is Jan 08 at 6.38am. The question to ask yourself is, given your experiences over the past few months, how I want to live my life. This is a foundation Moon. There is new growth stirring if you will pay attention and embrace the possibilities. Jupiter in Capricorn (foundation) and Saturn in Virgo (The Now) are working in harmony to give you the tools you need.
The Leo/Aquarius Full Moon of January 22 sets the stage for some very active energies in the next while. The end of January is very significant. On Jan 25, Pluto (the planet of transformation) enters Capricorn (society). He has not visited this sign since 1760. He will be here for 17 years. Be prepared for upheavel and significant adjustment in your life.
Mercury Retrogrades again on Jan 28 to Feb 18, this time in Aquarius asking you to identify your soul purpose. Without that understanding life will not make sense. Mars turns direct on Jan 30 but will not clear his shadow until the end of April 2008. So whatever you were experiencing when Mars went retrograde (Nov 15, 2007) will probably not be completely resolved until then.
I really do not like going so far ahead. I believe whatever you chose in the “Now” determines the future. My message to you is be in the “Now” in the most loving way you can. That will lead you to connection with The Presence, who you really are.
Blessings Dale
